Maddie Potts Foundation

1.  What is the mission and purpose of the organization/charity funding the project?
The mission of the Maddie Potts Foundation is simply to honor Maddie Potts.  Reaching people with her legacy is the purpose of the foundation. The website states that "The Maddie Potts Foundation was started in order to carry on the legacy and memory of a healthy, young, female athlete, taken acutely from this world at the age of 17. " This sweet young woman is a legend.  Her loving and encouraging nature touched everyone around her and inspires people to be more like her.
2. Who are they trying to reach and why? (target audience, demographics)
The Maddie Potts Foundation is really just trying to reach anyone they can with her legacy.  All ages are already being influenced by it.
3. What is the primary purpose of the project? To educate? To train? Persuade? Inform? Raise money? Something else? (you can make this up - maybe your charity/organization has a special event coming up, or they just want to get their name out, etc)
Besides simply reaching people with her legacy, they are raising money for various scholarships and events.  It is also raising money to build the Maddie Potts Indoor FieldHouse and Practice Facility.
4.  How will the project be deployed? Large window posters? Mass mailings? Table tents? (again, this is your choice, which do you think would be best for the primary purpose of the project)
Information about the project and foundation has been spread through the news and social media a lot simply through telling Maddie's story and people sharing about her.  They also have Maddie Merch which helps it be shared through word of mouth as well.
5.  Are there certain colors they prefer?  (look at their website design) The Maddie Potts Foundation's main color is blue.
6.  Is there a logo that needs to be included?  (look at their website design)

This is the Madde Potts Foundation's Logo.  The MP clearly stands for Maddie Potts and the eleven is her soccer number.

Aspect Ratio & Scanning Methods

Aspect ratio displays the proportions of the width to the height of the screen in the form of x:y.  The width is represented by x and height by y. Aspect Ratios: 10" tablet: 4:3 Smartphone: 667:375 Leaderboard Ad: 364:45 HDTV : 16:9  Interlaced and Progressive scanning are the two main ways that devices scan images.  Computer monitors and some televisions use progressive scanning, which means that they scan from left to right and top to bottom.  Interlaced scanning refers to the method used by most televisions.  This system scans all of the odd lines first, and then it scans all of the even lines.  Interlaced scanning makes it easier on the viewer's eyes because they are actually only seeing half of the image at once, even though it happens so rapidly that they do not realize it.  It also reduces bandwidth use and flickering.

Field of View Variables

Four important variables to consider when composing your field of view are: Camera Location - The point of view (the position of the camera in relation to the subject) is obviously essential to the shot.  The physical location  needs to be paid careful attention to because it determines what is or isn't in the shot. Camera Angle - the angle of the camera is important because it influences the message of the shot and exaggerates different things in the photograph. Subject Location - this is not always up to the photographer but is just as essential to the shot.  The pose and also the landscape around the subject effect the image greatly.   Focal Length - this is the lens found on camcorders that gives you latitude to adjust your framing.  This helps zooming in and out and to adjust the frame and framing the subject.
